Plow unloader is a discharge device installed on the middle frame of a belt conveyor, which can evenly and continuously discharge the conveyed materials into a hopper or designated location. It is widely used in industries such as mining, metallurgy, power, coal yards, ports, etc.

Structural composition

The plow type unloader is mainly composed of electro-hydraulic push rod (or electric push rod), bracket, plow head, roller set, variable groove angle roller set, locking device and other components.

Electro hydraulic push rod: As a power source, it provides the power required for system operation and has advantages such as stepless speed regulation, overload protection, and absolute self-locking.
Plowshare: It is divided into front plow and rear plow. The front plow is usually made of wear-resistant materials (such as chromium nickel stainless steel), and the rear plow is made of high molecular weight polyethylene plate. This structure can ensure clean unloading and protect the tape.
Roller set: including flat roller and variable groove angle roller set. The variable groove angle roller set can flatten the plow head when it falls, making the plow head more closely attached to the tape. After unloading, it can restore the groove shape and ensure the smooth passage of materials.
Locking device: It adopts a mechanical grab pull locking method, which can adjust the height of the plow head to ensure that the plow head will not lift or shake due to material impact during operation, avoiding tearing, wear, and coal leakage of the tape.

Working principle

When unloading is required, the electro-hydraulic push rod extends and drives the push rod mechanism to move, causing the plow head to fall. The groove shaped roller group that carries the conveyor belt at the bottom is almost flattened under the action of the plow head. At this time, the unloading surface of the plow head is in contact with the conveyor belt, which can achieve double-sided or single-sided unloading at the middle position of the transportation section. After unloading is completed, the electro-hydraulic push rod retracts, the plow head rises with the push rod mechanism, and the roller group returns to its original groove structure. The material passes smoothly and continues to be transported forward.
